CFO Yondie Metu secures nomination for the 2026 CFO Awards

Recognised among South Africa’s leading finance executives, RH Bophelo CFO Yondie Metu has secured a nomination for the 2026 CFO Awards, highlighting her impactful leadership, extensive financial expertise and growing influence within the country’s finance sector.

Yondie Metu has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards, joining a distinguished group of finance leaders competing across nine categories, including the prestigious CFO of the Year title.

Yondie is a seasoned finance executive who was appointed CFO of RH Bophelo in 2023. She brings more than 15 years of experience across finance, reporting, property administration and executive leadership roles within leading South African organisations.

Before joining RH Bophelo, she served as general manager of group finance at Thebe for nearly three years, following a series of senior positions at Edco. She began her career at Sasol, where she advanced through various finance roles up to finance manager level.

Yondie is a qualified chartered accountant who holds a masters in philosophy on corporate strategy at the GIBS Business School.


Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.

The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title-holder, will be announced.
