Zelda Mostert steps in as Chubb’s new country president on 1 July, taking over from Gary Jack.

Chubb South Africa has promoted its CFO, Zelda Mostert, to the role of country president with effect from 1 July.

She takes over from Gary Jack, who is relocating to the UK to take up a new role as manager for Chubb’s Midlands and South region, and will be reporting to Mark Roberts, who is the division president for the UK, Ireland and South Africa.

"Over the past decade, Zelda has been very closely involved in the development of our business in South Africa. This makes her perfectly placed to lead Chubb through our next phase of expansion in South Africa as we concentrate on growing our A&H, consumer and digital business there,” Mark said in a statement.

Before joining Chubb in 2013 as its CFO, Zelda served as the head of treasury and corporate finance at Aveng, and briefly served as the CFO of Great Basin Gold. She has also held various other senior finance and treasury roles at companies like Harmony Gold, Saambou Bank, Alexander Forbes and more.
