Claire Cobden to develop growth initiatives in Cowi’s North American markets

South African Claire Cobden has been appointed as the new CFO of international consulting group Cowi.

International consulting group Cowi has appointed South African Claire Cobden as the CFO of its North America region.

“I’m very much looking forward to joining Cowi to continue developing growth initiatives in the North American markets and to capitalise on opportunities as customers seek out and transition to more sustainable solutions,” Claire said.

A native of South Africa, Claire spent nearly 10 years in London working with KPMG and UBS in a variety of roles, including corporate finance and M&A. She has also worked with Maxar (then MacDonald Dettwiler & Associates) supporting treasury, M&A and corporate development initiatives.

Claire joins Cowi from BlueShore Financial, where she held the position of VP Treasurer and was responsible for investment management, trading and strategic financial planning.

She was also named British Columbia’s Most Influential Woman in Finance in 2019.
