Clinix Health Group’s Elisa Mkhize has announced her resignation as CFO with effect from 1 August, stating that her decision was well thought through as she embarks on the next chapter of her career, seeking growth and a broader scope.

“I am happy with the work I have done and what I have achieved at Clinix for the last three and half years,” Elisa says.

She intends to take a few weeks off before tackling the next challenge as part of the growth trajectory in her career.

Elisa joined Clinix Health Group in October 2016, at a time when the business was under serious financial distress.

According to a letter by Clinix Health Group CEO Khamane Matseke, informing the company’s bank of Elisa’s resignation, she successfully led and concluded an equity finance transaction which saw the balance sheet of the group strengthen.

She also contributed significantly to the overall turnaround of the group, which resulted in a significant improvement in financial performance. “Under her leadership, the general control environment and governance structures of the company improved significantly, with the business transforming to a more corporate entity it is today,” the letter read.

For her work at Clinix Health Group, Elisa has been nominated for the 2020 CFO Awards.

According to Khamane, Elisa has agreed to serve her notice period until 31 July. She has also made a commitment to be part of an efficient and effective transition process ensuring a robust handover process over the next two months.
