Comair FD Kirsten King resigns as FD to emigrate to the UK

Comair's board thanked Kirsten for her "sterling" job and wished her every success in the United Kingdom.

On Monday, 28 October, Comair announced the resignation of FD Kirsten King with effect from 28 February 2020. 

Kirsten will be emigrating to the United Kingdom.

In a statement released by Comair, the board thanked Kirsten for the “sterling job” she did in her position as FD and wished her “every success in respect of her future endeavours in the United Kingdom”. 

Kirsten’s resignation comes shortly after Comair announced its annual financial results on 17 September. At the time, she said that the group had navigated a very difficult year that brought some unprecedented challenges. 

Kirsten is a qualified CA(SA). She was first introduced to Comair as the Revenue Accountant and was appointed FD in 2014. 

According to her Comair profile, Kirsten has gained substantial exposure to the challenges facing the industry and has competently managed the accounting function within the group. 

Prior to joining Comair, Kirsten started out as a trainee accountant at PKF and then became its audit manager.
