Dean Thompson appointed CEO of EnviroServ

Dean Thompson has been appointed group CEO of waste management company, EnviroServ. Thompson takes over from Des Gordon, who served as the company's CEO for 18 years, resigning at the end of 2015 for personal reasons.

The company believes Thompson's background makes him an exceptional fit for this role. Ralph Boettger, EnviroServ chairman, said:

"Dean Thompson brings valuable know how. He impressed us as an innovator and an outstanding leader and manager with a set of skills the company needed."

Thompson, a qualified CA, will be responsible for EnviroServ's overall strategy and day-to-day management decisions.

Prior to this appointment, Thompson was executive director at EnviroServ's Solid Waste. He previously held the post of COO at Air Liquide Southern Africa, for the period April 2010 to October 2014.
