Thandeka will be taking over from Carmen le Grange until a permanent replacement has been appointed.
Denel has announced the appointment of Thandeka Sabela as its acting group CFO, until the appointment of a permanent group CFO is finalised.
Thandeka takes over from Carmen le Grange, who resigned as group CFO in early March.

According to a statement by the company, Thandeka brings a wealth of experience with her and has been with Denel since November 2015. She has been responsible for the company’s financial reporting to various stakeholders.
Before joining Denel, Thandeka served as the FD of Lidwala Consulting Engineers for two years. Prior to that, she was the CFO of L'Oréal South Africa. She has also served in various finance manager roles with companies including Highveld Steel and Vanadium Corporation and Umcebo Mining. She started her career at Sasol Mining Holdings, where she did her articles and served as a senior accountant.
The company said that the process of recruiting the new group CFO is underway.
