Sandile Mnguni will be taking over from retiring CFO Krish Kumar, who has been in the role for 40 years.
eThekwini Municipality has announced the appointment of Sandile Mnguni as its new CFO.
Sandile has over 15 years management experience after serving his articles at the Office of the Auditor-General and has worked for Ithala Development Finance Corporation as the group CFO and was previously the eThekwini Municipality head of expenditure. He has also held the position of senior manager at the Auditor-General South Africa and the position of director at Bonakude Consulting . Sandile is a qualified CA by profession and holds a B.Com honours degree in accounting, as well as an MBA.
Sandile, whose accounting and auditing experience cover municipalities, provincial departments, national departments and related state entities including pension funds and development finance institutions, will be taking over from Krish Kumar, who has retired after 40 years as the municipality’s CFO.

eThekwini has also announced the appointment of its COO Musa Mbhele as the acting city manager, seeing Sipho Cele, who has been acting in the position for the past few months, return to his role as the deputy city manager for governance and international relations.
