Marileen Kok begins her new duties as FD of Pan African Resources

Marileen Kok has been promoted to finance director at Pan African Resources.

Marileen Kok has been promoted to finance director at Pan African Resources. She also joined the board’s social and ethics committee on 1 October 2024.

Her new duties in the FD role include being the debt officer and the director of the PAR Funding Company.

News of Marileen’s stepping into the FD role was first announced in July. She succeeds Deon Louw, who retired at the end of September. 

Marileen joined Pan African Resources as a financial manager in January 2020. She was then made executive director in July 2023 before being considered for the financial director role.

Marileen worked for PwC as an auditor for 14 years before joining Pan African Resources in 2020.

She has extensive experience in the mining industry, with her previous work focused on financial reporting, corporate finance, governance, regulatory compliance and a variety of other commercial issues. 

She is a chartered accountant and holds a BCom in Accounting from the University of Johannesburg.
