John King passed away on 4 October, at the age of 61.

Former EOH group CFO John King passed away on 4 October at the age of 61. EOH has expressed its condolences to his family.

King started his career at EOH as an executive director in 2004 and became CFO in 2008. In June, EOH announced that it was suing King and other former directors of the company for governance lapses when they led the company.

Following the news of the lawsuit, CFO South Africa suspended King’s 2014 High-Performance Team Award.
