Funke Ighodaro, Tiger Brands CFO, steps down

  • Earlier this year, Tiger Brands announced that Lawrence MacDougall had been appointed CEO, effective 1 May. Read more here.

Tiger Brands said in a statement:

"Ighodaro has agreed to continue in her role as chief financial officer and executive director until 31 July 2016… The board...notes that she has successfully led a number of strategic cost initiatives during her tenure at Tiger Brands and that she was instrumental in ensuring the successful sale of the group's interest in Tiger Branded Consumer Goods Company (formerly Dangote Flour Mills)."

Tiger Brands is expected to report its financial results for the six months ending 31 March on 24 May 2016. In the interim, the board has indicated that it is considering its options with regards to a successor for Ighodaro, saying that details will be announced in due course.
