Gerhard’s appointment as CFO will see him play an important role in Sybrin’s growth strategy.
Digital transformation and intelligent automation solutions company Sybrin has announced the appointment of Gerhard Malan as its new CFO.
Gerhard says that he is pleased to join Sybrin and has “a passion for the discipline of analysing and explaining numbers to extract the critical information they carry, and the power they can bring to the business if properly curated and understood”.
For the past three years Gerhard has served as the CFO of UK-based IT services company Viadex, where he gained experience in global compliance and expansion. Prior to that, he served as the FD of Rectron South Africa for 10 years.
Gerhard brings over 12 years’s experience as a FD to the role and, according to the company, will play an important role in the company’s quest for global growth. “More than just a numbers person, he is a creative, strategic thinker who brings a new dimension to the business.”
Group CEO Marius Mare welcomed Gerhard to the Sybrin team. “As the business expands globally, Gerhard brings the necessary skills and experience to guide the business from a finance and regulatory perspective. We wish Gerhard all the best in this new challenging role that will ensure his own professional growth.”
