Woolworths group FD Zaid Manjra has been nominated for the 2026 CFO Awards, recognising his extensive leadership experience across the retail and public sectors.
Zaid has secured a nomination for the 2026 CFO Awards, joining a distinguished group of finance leaders competing across nine categories, including the prestigious CFO of the Year award.
He has served as group FD of Woolworths since December 2023 and his career at Woolworths spans more than 15 years, during which he held several senior leadership roles, including head of group planning and reporting, as well as finance manager for the group’s retail operations.
In addition to his corporate experience, Zaid has contributed to the public sector as chairperson of the audit committee at the City of Cape Town, a position he held for six years. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years at BP as finance manager for sales, marketing and logistics.
A qualified chartered accountant, Zaid holds a BCom, a postgraduate diploma in accounting, and a master of business leadership qualification.
Dubbed the “Oscars of Finance”, the CFO Awards continues to celebrate leaders who raise the bar for people leadership in South Africa across listed companies, large corporates and government institutions.
The 2026 nominees will be celebrated at a gala event on 26 November, where winners across multiple categories, including the CFO of the Year title, will be announced
