Hong Kong-based EV Cargo appoints South African David Edley as new divisional CFO
David has been appointed as the CFO of EV Cargo’s Global Forwarding and Technology division.
Hong Kong headquartered EV Cargo has announced the appointment of South African David Edley as its new CFO of Global Forwarding and Technology.
According to the freight forwarding, supply chain and technology company, David will be based in London and will be responsible for leading EV Cargo’s Global Forwarding and Technology finance functions.
“David’s appointment brings significant and highly relevant global and industry experience to this important role,” the group said.
David holds a postgraduate diploma and bachelor of commerce from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, and is a CA(SA) with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Since completing his CA training with Deloitte in South Africa in 1992, he has held a number of senior financial positions in commerce, both in South African and the UK, including roles with Credit Suisse and Investec.
Prior to joining EV Cargo, David was based in Jersey as the group financial controller at CPA Global, where he was responsible for group reporting across more than 100 international subsidiaries. Before that, he was group FD of JSE-listed Santova for eight years.
David’s appointment follows the announcement of Chia Min Tana as EV Cargo’s global CFO on 3 November.
