Ian Pettifor is ready to disrupt the insurance industry as new Genasys CFO
The newly appointed CFO says he is privileged to be part of a brand that will change the software insurance industry.
Insurance software solutions provider Genasys has appointed Ian Pettifor as its new group CFO. Ian’s appointment is the latest in a line of C-suite hires by the company as it targets international expansion.

He explains that technology has the power to transform the way the insurance industry transacts business, but that it’s no secret that digitalisation of the sector is hampered by a reliance on fragmented, albeit highly-optimised, legacy systems. “I’m hugely impressed with both the innovative, pioneering spirit of Genasys and its highly configurable, function-rich product offering which provides insurers, MGAs and brokers with the tools to free themselves from the financial and operating constraints of legacy tech and quickly launch new products,” he says.
The company stated that, with over 20 years’ experience in insurtech start-ups and scale-ups, combined with the experience of guiding mergers and acquisitions across a range of sectors and geographies over the last 35 years, Ian’s expertise will support Genasys’s plans for international growth.
