Jabu Mabuza to chair AB InBev and SABMiller's merged African division

post-title

Jabu Mabuza (pictured), Telkom chairperson and head of Business Unity South Africa, has been named the new chair of the African division of Anheuser-Busch InBev's (AB InBev) merged company with SABMiller. Mabuza will work with Carlos Brito, CEO, to finalise the governance and constitution of the board.

Mabuza has a successful track record as an entrepreneur, as well as pan-African experience and involvement with the public sector. He has also held a number of board memberships, including at Tanzanian Breweries, Castle Brewing Company (Kenya) and South African Tourism, and has served as group chief executive of Tsogo Sun Holdings and CEO of Fabcos Marketing. This experience will surely be invaluable to the combined group and the Africa board, which AB Inbev has said will play an important role in advising the business across the continent as it moves forward.
