TransUnion Africa acting CFO Jason Hawkins has been promoted to permanent CFO and vice president.
Jason has been serving as TransUnion Africa’s interim CFO for four months. He joined TransUnion Africa in 2014 as a director of financial planning and analysis, before transitioning to revenue management and commercial finance in 2019. He then became acting CFO in July 2024, before the company announced his permanent appointment to the CFO role on 13 November.
Sharing his thoughts on the promotion, Jason said: “I am deeply honoured to step into the role of CFO for TransUnion Africa. Over the past decade, I have witnessed the incredible effect our financial strategies have had on our growth and resilience. I look forward to continuing to drive value and collaboration across our teams, helping TransUnion Africa deliver even greater results for our clients and the communities we serve.”
Jason has over 25 years of finance experience, which includes his expertise in commercial finance. Prior to joining TransUnion Africa, Jason spent 19 years at Coca-Cola South Africa, where he held various management roles in finance and accounting.
