JSE-listed Oando appoints Adeola Ogunsemi as its new CFO

The new CFO brings over 20 years of oil and gas industry experience to the energy solutions provider.

JSE-listed Oando has announced the appointment of Adeola Ogunsemi as its new CFO, following the resignation of Olufemi Adeyemo.

Until recently, Adeola served as the CFO of Oando Energy Resources, Oando Group’s upstream division.

The Nigerian-based integrated energy solutions provider said in a statement that the new CFO has more 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and expressed optimism that Adeola would make a positive contribution to the oil company.

It further stated that, with his extensive experience in strategic consulting and finance, Olufemi played a “major” role in the growth and success of the Oando Group. “He was pivotal in the execution of several notable accomplishments, including the 2014 landmark acquisition of ConocoPhillips’ Nigerian assets, the 2015 Rights Issue, and various restructuring programmes within the group.”
