Amanda Farris takes up the role of interim CFO following the resignation of CFO Jean Michel Bour.

JSE-listed mining company Kore Potash has appointed Amanda Farris as its interim CFO following the resignation of CFO Jean Michel Bour for personal reasons.

Amanda has been working with Kore Potash since May 2021, providing commercial support and assistance to the CFO, which has positioned her well to assume the CFO responsibilities. She is an Australian CA with over 20 years’ experience in the mining industry.

Kore Potash CEO Brad Sampson said:

“We are fortunate that Amanda is available to immediately step in as our interim CFO. She is a highly respected chartered accountant who is already familiar with all of the company’s accounts and people.”

Jean Michel was appointed to the role of CFO on 9 June and will step aside from the CFO role with immediate effect, stating that his personal circumstances are now such that he is not able to continue in the role. He will remain with the company until 15 August to ensure a smooth handover.

Brad added that, “We are disappointed that Jean Michel’s personal circumstances have required his departure from our company and wish him well for the future.”
