Takealot.com has promoted its financial manager Kyle Paulsen to its new head of group finance.

Kyle joined Takealot.com in April 2019 from Mazars South Africa, where he was the tax manager of VAT for a year. He completed his articles at EY in 2014 and became an assistant manager of indirect tax at the company before being appointed as the tax manager for Pep in 2016.

A qualified chartered accountant, Kyle holds various post graduate diplomas in accounting, tax and law from the University of Cape Town and the University of South Africa respectively.

Kyle’s appointment comes shortly after a series of executive leadership changes at the Takealot Group following the resignation of its CEO and CFO in February 2021. In August 2021, the e-commerce group announced the appointment of Tessa Ackermann as its new CFO, which led to the shake-up of its various subsidiaries’ leadership teams as well.
