post-title

Les Wood (pictured), currently VP of finance and commercial, has been appointed Tullow Oil’s interim CFO while Ian Springett, the actual finance head, is off on an extended leave of absence for medical treatment.

Wood, who joined Tullow in 2014, previously spent 28 years at BP Plc, including in regional CFO roles in Canada and the Middle East. Springett, who is also an ex-BP regional finance head, has been in the CFO role since 2008. It is not sure for how long Wood will oversee Springett's finance role.

Africa-focussed Tullow, headquartered in London, has production assets in Ghana and exploration acreage in Mauritania, Namibia and Zambia.
