CEO of Liquid Telecom, Kyle Whitehill, has tendered his resignation.

Kyle Whitehill (pictured), the CEO of Liquid Telecom South Africa, will be leaving the company at the end of his contract, 20 March 2018.

Whitehill, a former CEO of Vodafone Qatar and Vodafone Ghana, has been in the role for less than one year. He was appointed chief executive following Liquid Telecom’s acquisition a year ago of Neotel, as part of a R6.5 billion deal.

According to Nic Rudnick, Group CEO at Liquid Telecom, Whitehill has decided to return home to the UK to be with his family, who remained overseas during his time in South Africa.

Rudnick said:

“We thank Kyle for his determination and drive that has seen the company go through many positive changes and renewed focus. With our strong leadership team in place, the company will continue to build Africa’s digital future.”

Whitehill’s successor has yet to be named.
