Mariné van Brakel is new BNP Paribas SA debt officer

Mariné van Brakel has been appointed as the new debt officer of BNP Paribas Personal Finance SA.

BNP Paribas Personal Finance South Africa has announced the appointment of Mariné van Brakel as its new debt officer as of 1 November 2020.

Marinè currently serves as the CFO at the RCS Group, a registered financial services provider that offers credit solutions – including store cards, credit cards, loans and insurance offerings – which is 100 percent owned by BNP Paribas. She first worked with the RCS Group in 2014 as a financial consultant and was appointed as central finance and operations manager in 2015. Marinè fulfilled the role of finance executive from May 2017 until December 2019, when she was promoted to CFO. 

Before this, she gained international experience in her capacity of corporate audit manager for KPMG International in the United Kingdom. 

According to the company, she has been instrumental in RCS being positioned as South Africa’s most prominent and innovative financial services provider in the retail credit market, with unrivalled expertise in business to business credit solutions.
