Metair Investments appoints CA Bridgitte Mathews to board

CA Bridgitte Mathews appointed to board of Metair Investments as a non-executive director.

Bridgitte Mathews, a qualified chartered accountant (South Africa) has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and member of the audit and risk committee of Metair investments, with effect from 1 January 2021.

Bridgitte will replace Michael Flemming as chairman of the audit and risk committee with effect from the conclusion of the 2021 AGM.

Bridgitte and holds a postgraduate certificate in advanced taxation from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and a B.Com in accounting (Hons) from Rand Afrikaans University (RAU). She currently serves on the board of trustees of Redefine Empowerment Trust, the board of directors of PSG Group Limited (and its audit and risk committee) and PSG Financial Services Limited. She is also the lead independent director of Redefine Properties Limited and serves on various committees.

Bridgitte previously served on the board of directors and various committees of, among others, ATKV, ATKV Sake and OneLogix Limited.
