Michelle Chetty has been appointed as the new group CFO of Affinity Group.
Affinity Group has appointed Michelle Chetty as its new group CFO.
Michelle joins Affinity Group from Saint ICT Consultants, where she served as CFO. Prior to that she was a financial manager at Upstream Group, Afriago, Harvest Chemicals and FabScraps respectively. Her career in finance kickstarted at BDO South Africa as a trainee accountant. Before that, she served in various administrative roles in the retail industry, as well as at the Department of Education.
She is a qualified CA(SA) and CIMA, and holds a BCom in accounting, managerial accounting and finance from the University of KwaZulu-Natal. She also has a post graduate diploma in applied accounting sciences from UNISA.
“With an extensive background in the financial sector, Michelle brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our group and senior leadership,” the group said in a statement.
The company added that, as a leader, Michelle adopts a democratic and inclusive approach. “She is an intentional leader with a clear sense of direction and an understanding of what it takes to deliver the best for our company and our staff.”
The statement further read that Michelle encourages growth while exuding kindness, warmth and compassion, “and we are looking forward to taking our group and companies to the next level with her”.
