Gavin Hattersley, who has served as MillerCoors' interim CEO since 1 July, has been appointed CEO with immediate effect.
Hattersley will remain in a dual capacity as MillerCoors CEO and Molson Coors CFO until mid-November, while a suitable CFO successor is sought.MillerCoors is a joint venture between SABMiller and Molson Coors Brewing Company; a partnership first announced on 9 October 2007.
Hattersley, who was schooled at Kloof High School and attended the University of South Africa, joined the US-based Miller from SAB Limited in Johannesburg. He cut his teeth at Barloworld Group in South Africa, where he held various finance positions, including CFO, over a period of 10 years. Following a stint as FD of SAB, Hattersley became CFO of Miller Brewing Company, moving on to become CFO of MillerCoors LLC and Global CFO for Molson Coors. He has also served as executive VP and CFO for MillerCoors, and senior VP of finance for Miller Brewing Company.
