Mills Soko leaves UCT-GSB

Director of the UCT Graduate School of Business Mills Soko has resigned from his role for personal reasons.

The UCT Graduate School of Business (UCT-GSB), a parter of CFO South Africa, has announced that Associate Professor Mills Soko will be stepping down from his position as director of the school with immediate effect. Mills was appointed as senior lecturer in 2006, and took on the role of director in January 2017.

UCT-GSB said in a statement:

"Associate Professor Mills Soko has announced his intention to step down from his position as the Director of the UCT Graduate School of Business. Citing personal reasons, Associate Professor Soko resigns with immediate effect…. Soko steered the GSB into a stronger leadership position on a number of fronts, making significant strides in consolidating the GSB’s position as a leader among African business schools.”

Associate Professor Kosheek Sewchurran will take over from Mills in an acting capacity while the university looks for a suitable full-time candidate.
