Thembelihle brings over 16 years of experience from the private and public sectors to her new role.
Thembelihle Mjaji-Mbatha is the new group CFO of Mintek after joining the company in November 2025. She’s previously held CFO positions across multiple public sector institutions, where she successfully implemented financial turnaround strategies, enhanced fiscal discipline and strengthened governance systems.
Thembelihle brings over 16 years of experience in finance and audit to her new position, including more than 11 years in senior management and executive roles. She has gained a formidable reputation in the public sector for her leadership in financial governance and accountability.
She was also appointed to the Saica national public sector committee last year and has served as an independent advisor to several government entities and departments, contributing to sustained clean and unqualified audit outcomes.
She is a qualified chartered accountant (SA) with a master’s in business leadership from the Unisa school of business leadership.
