Mphume will be taking over from Kabelo Lehloenya, who cited personal reasons for her resignation.

Gauteng Health Department has announced the appointment of Mphume Llale as acting CFO.

Mphume’s appointment follows the resignation of Kabelo Lehloenya at the end of May, who cited personal reasons in her resignation letter.

However, the Democratic Alliance health spokesperson Jack Bloom said that the department needed to give an explanation for the resignation. “It is in their [the public] best interest to know why she resigned. It is highly unusual to resign on the spot during a public health disaster.”
