Mteto Nyati in search of a new challenge, steps down as Altron CEO

Mteto Nyati will be stepping down from the role as CEO when his five-year term is completed in June 2022.

Mteto Nyati has announced his intention to step down from the role of Altron CEO following the completion of his five-year term with the group in June 2022.

The group said in a statement that Mteto’s decision to step down was informed by his successful contribution to increase the company’s shareholder value by approximately six times during his tenure, and his search for a new challenge.

Mteto not only led Altron’s transition from a family-controlled and managed business to an independent corporate entity, but also contributed significantly to the achievement of several strategic initiatives. These included establishing and growing a core ICT portfolio and transforming Altron from a diversified technology group into a trusted information technology services company.

The Altron board expressed its gratitude to Nyati for his visionary and inspirational leadership, his contribution to Altron and its shareholders, and wished him well in all his future endeavours.
