Following the merger between Canal+ and Multichoice Group, Nicolas Dandoy has been appointed chief financial officer, succeeding Timothy Jacobs.

The Multichoice Group (MCG) has entered a new chapter with the Canal+ merger, placing the French media giant effectively in control of the company. On Friday, 19 September 2025, both Canal+ and MCG confirmed that all suspensive conditions for the takeover had been fulfilled or waived, making the Canal+ offer effective.

As part of the merger and subsequent restructuring, MCG announced changes to its board composition and leadership team to accommodate Canal+ representatives.

The new directors were appointed by the MCG board in line with the company’s memorandum of incorporation, effective 22 September 2025.

Among these changes, Nicolas Dandoy has been named the new chief financial officer of MCG. He succeeds outgoing CFO Timothy Jacobs, who will remain with the organisation in a senior finance role within the combined group.

Nicola brings extensive experience from his role as CFO and head of business development at Canal+ International. He previously served as CFO and vice-chairman of the management committee at NC+, the leading pay TV operator in Poland, which is majority-owned by Canal+ Group. At NC+, he was responsible for company financial management and business development, overseeing a subscriber base of more than 2.8 million households.

He holds an executive MBA in business administration and management from Insead.
