Dion Ramoo will be taking over as FD from Charl Herselman, who takes up the role of head of group finance.
NVest Financial Holdings has announced the appointment of Dion Ramoo as its new financial director with immediate effect.
Dion will step aside as an independent non-executive director of the company, a role he has held since 27 January 2021, to take up the new role. He has also stepped down from the company’s audit and risk committee, in accordance with NVest’s regulations.
He takes over from Charl Herselman, who has been performing in the role since November 2019. Charl will remain in the finance team as head of group finance.
Dion is a specialist in finance and is a qualified chartered accountant (SA), professional accountant (SA), chartered director (SA) and also a chartered government finance officer. He has over 30 years of experience within the public and private sectors.
He has been in senior management and executive positions since 1995 as a partner at the international audit firm KPMG and at both group and subsidiary levels at listed entity EOH.
In a statement, NVest thanked Dion for his “valued service to the board” as an independent non-executive director over the past five months and welcomed him in his new role.
