Stephanus served as interim FD from August 2019 after being with the company for seven years.
Omnia has announced the appointment of Stephanus Petrus Serfontein as its new group FD as of 1 March.
Stephanus is a qualified CA(SA) and has 17 years of international finance experience in the manufacturing, chemicals, mining and agriculture industries. He has served on several boards, both locally and internationally, in an executive and non-executive capacity.
He has been with the group since January 2012 and was appointed as interim FD on August 2019 following the resignation of Wayne Koonin, which came into effect on 31 March 2019.

Stephan currently serves as the FD at Omnia Agriculture International.
In a statement, Omnia’s board expressed its confidence that Stephan will seamlessly transition into this role, providing the necessary expertise and continuity required as the group enters a new strategic phase.
