Barloworld has announced the appointment of Relebohile Mosaletseng Sehoole Malahleha as its new group finance director, effective 1 December 2025, following the retirement of Nopasika Vuyelwa Lila after a successful six-year tenure.
Barloworld has announced that Relebohile Mosaletseng Sehoole Malahleha will assume the role of group finance director effective 1 December 2025, following the retirement of Nopasika Vuyelwa Lila on 31 November 2025. Nopasika has served in this position since 2019, leading with distinction and leaving behind a legacy of financial discipline, innovation and inclusive leadership.
Relebohile, who currently serves as executive of strategic finance and is a standing invitee to the group executive committee, brings over 27 years of experience in finance, strategy and corporate governance. She has been part of Barloworld for a decade, beginning her journey in 2015 as CFO for Avis Budget Southern Africa, then a subsidiary of the group. Her deep understanding of the company and its strategic direction uniquely positions her to lead the finance function into its next phase.
Relebohile has played a pivotal role in several defining moments for the group. She contributed to the successful acquisition of the Ingrain starch business from Tongaat Hulett, and led the unbundling, refinancing and subsequent IPO of Zeda, the business she previously headed as financial director.
She also guided the buy-out of Barloworld’s defined benefit pension fund in the UK and oversaw the sale of 50 percent of the motor retail business to NMI Durban South Motors, where she continues to serve as audit committee chair. In addition, she served on the steering committee overseeing the Group’s take-private transaction, demonstrating her strategic and operational insight.
Before joining Barloworld, Relebohile was a partner at KPMG for more than seven years, working first in the technical department and later in accounting advisory services. She is a chartered accountant (CA(SA)) and a graduate of the advanced management programme at Harvard Business School.
