Richard Farber (pictured), current CFO and group FD of Discovery Limited, will be stepping down as of 31 December 2016.

The group said in its recent JSE SENS announcement:
"Mr Farber will be relocating to Australia but will remain as a director on the board of the company. A process is underway to appoint a replacement and further details will be communicated in due course."
Farber has been the FD of Discovery Holdings Limited since July 1 2009, and served as CFO since 2003. He has also been an Executive Director of Discovery Limited since July 1, 2009, and serves as a Director of The Vitality Group, Inc. Farber is both a CA (registered with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants) and Management Accountant (registered with the Chartered Instituted of Management Accountants). He graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Honours) in Financial Accounting.
