Safire Insurance Company appoints Heleen Botha as its new CFO

Heleen was previously involved in Safire's financial audits during her time at KPMG.

Safire Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Heleen Botha as its new CFO. Heleen is no stranger to Safire, having been involved in the company’s financial audits in 2010 and 2011 during her time at KPMG.

She started her career as an internal auditor at FirstRand Bank and later joined KPMG as an audit manager. In 2012 she was appointed as the operational manager of reporting of the Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa and she most recently served as the senior manager of finance Credit Guarantee Insurance Corporation of Africa.

“Heleen is an exceptional leader with a strong background in training. This is evident from her former roles where she led a number of training programmes and courses at companies such as KPMG and Munich Reinsurance Company of Africa,” the company said in a statement.

Heleen is a qualified CA(SA) and holds a BCompt honours degree in accounting from UNISA.

“We could not be happier to have Heleen join our team and assist us in achieving continued success,” the company concluded.
