Sharon joins TransUnion Africa from Ricoh Africa, where she served as CFO.

TransUnion Africa has announced the appointment of Sharon Naidoo as its new CFO. She will take up the new position in February.

“I’ve long admired TransUnion’s commitment to using data and insights to help its customers and consumers across Africa navigate a fast-changing modern business environment,” said Sharon. “I’m looking forward to joining the leadership team of this dynamic business as we look to tackle the challenges and opportunities that will help our continent realise its potential.”

Sharon, a qualified CA(SA) with a master’s in financial management, has more than 18 years’ experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, strategic planning, financial accounting and operations. She has previously held leadership roles at KFC Africa, Kellogg’s Africa and Eli Lilly Pharmaceuticals. She joins TransUnion from Ricoh Africa, where she served as CFO, with financial oversight of the South African market.

According to a statement by TransUnion Africa, Sharon will lead and oversee the finance and accounting across the TransUnion Africa businesses, and will partner with the executive team to drive the company’s ambitious growth strategy and long-term expansion objectives.

“Sharon is a passionate and innovative finance executive, and her expertise will play an important part of our growth strategy in 2021 and beyond,” said TransUnion Africa CEO Lee Naik. “Her belief in collaborative leadership and her commitment to excellence through teamwork is a great fit with our organisation.”
