Kobus Roesch has been appointed as the new Standard Bank CFO of Investment Banking, with effect from 1 June 2018.
Prior to his promotion to CFO of Investment Banking, Kobus Roesch was head of the Financial Insight & Analytics team for Transactional Products and Services (TPS) at Standard Bank. He has been with the bank for 14 years, working in various financial roles, across Global Markets, Investment Banking and TPS.
“A main focus point has been the improvement in the quality and relevance of data to business for more effective decision making, through standardisation of processes and system across all the markets,” he says about his professional experience and focus to date.
Kobus says about his plans for the new role:
“The next couple of years will definitely be very exciting as we continue to focus and drive our Africa strategy. Globally banking is transforming at a rapid pace and we need to ensure we are agile and adequately equipped for these changes.”
