Middle East sustainable agriculture and climate tech business RedSea has appointed Storm van Zyl as its new CFO.
South African Storm van Zyl has been appointed as the new CFO of sustainable agriculture and climate tech business RedSea. She will run the Middle East company’s finances from Cape Town.
“It is an honour to join the RedSea team and contribute to its mission to feed the world sustainably,” she said about the appointment.
She explained that it is a particularly exciting time as growers and governments in hot climate countries, globally, recognise RedSea’s unique competitive advantages. “The company’s potential and market opportunity are huge and I look forward to working closely with my new colleagues.”
Storm has over 10 years’ experience in the agriculture and climate change industries. She was previously both the CFO and head of finance at Aerobotics. She has also worked in various senior roles for organisations like Greenlite Solutions, EcoMetrix Africa and Nedbank Capital.
She has an MSc degree in carbon management from the University of Edinburgh, as well as a bachelor of business science from the University of Cape Town.
