Tevin Govender has taken on the role of regional CFO for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa at Estée Lauder, following almost four years in finance leadership roles at Coca-Cola.
Estée Lauder has appointed Tevin Govender as regional CFO for South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
Tevin joins the beauty company after spending almost four years at Coca-Cola, where he most recently served as operations finance director for almost a year. Prior to that, he was finance director of planning for Africa for almost three years.
Reflecting on his new role in a LinkedIn post, Tevin said the position brings together several areas he is passionate about, including strategic finance, commercial partnership, developing strong teams and helping businesses create sustainable long-term value.
“I am especially excited about the opportunity to work across such a diverse region, supporting iconic brands and partnering with talented teams to drive growth, strengthen decision making, and build for the future,” he said.
He also expressed his gratitude to the leaders, mentors, colleagues, friends and family who have supported him throughout his career, saying that each role and challenge had helped prepare him for his next chapter.
Having already spent his first few weeks at Estée Lauder, Tevin said he had been impressed by the quality of the people, the strength of the company’s brands and the ambition across the organisation.
He said he was looking forward to learning, contributing and helping build the business across South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.
