South African food company Tiger Brands announced today that its deputy chairman, Bheki Sibiya, would be stepping down at the end of June.
Tiger Brands said in a statement:
"After 14 years of service, Bheki has decided to resign from the board. He was appointed to the board of Tiger Brands in March 2003 and has been deputy chairman of the Company since 2006. Mr Sibiya was also a member of the Social, Ethics and Transformation Committee."
59-year-old Sibiya was appointed Tiger Brands deputy chairman in 2006. No reasons have yet been given for his resignation.
