Top finance leaders will gather at the glamorous Marriott Hotel in Melrose Arch on 29 May for CFO Day, to network, share ideas and empower both themselves and their teams.

Every CFO has a story to tell, but they also have an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. Themed Define your legacy, 2025 CFO Day will bring together South Africa's leading financial minds to engage in roundtable talks, exchange ideas and provide unique networking opportunities.

The event is designed to empower CFOs to define that legacy and make a profound impact on their organisations, teams and the country.

From what it means to add value to their business, to Trump 2.0, to the future of the finance profession, CFOs will delve into everything that is top of mind for finance chiefs across the country and, indeed, the world. Not to mention the amazing opportunity to network with some of South Africa’s greatest finance minds.

The day will kick off with a panel discussion about the CFO's role in transforming a business, with Ashona Kooblall, CFO at EOH, Risto Ketola, CFO at Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, Mikaeel Tayob, CFO, Bridgestone South Africa and Abdullah Verachia, CEO of The Strategists.

This will be followed by a group discussion on ERP implementation with Veronica Lukwago, finance transformation associate director for BDO SA, Suren Naidoo, principal services executive, Workday, and Sandi de Souza, CFO of SAP Africa.

There will also be group discussions on the CFO's role in saying “No”; reinventing finance and how seismic global events are altering the future of SA.

So after feeding your intellect, you'll have time to fuel your hunger at the Marriott Executive Lunch. The day will end with cocktails and networking opportunities with some of the most astute individuals in the industry.
