Umgeni Water appoints CFO Nomalungelo Mkhize as acting CEO

Nomalungelo will be taking over from exiting CEO Thamsanqa Hlongwa.

Umgeni Water has announced the appointment of its current CFO Nomalungelo Mkhize as acting CEO. Nomalungelo steps into the role following the resignation of its CEO Thamsanqa Hlongwa.

Nomalungelo has been the CFO of Umgeni Water since 2018. She has held various roles, including audit manager at Deloitte, commercial manager for Nampak, group assistant finance manager for Crookes Brothers, and various senior management positions in consulting firms, the latest being an executive for product development at Bonakude Consulting and director of Morar Incorporated.
