Vedanta Group welcomes new CFO, Sonal Shrivastava

Sonal Shrivastava will help drive Vedanta Group’s finance strategy as its new CFO.

Global mining conglomerate Vedanta has announced the appointment of Sonal Shrivastava as the CFO with effect from 1 June. “Vedanta has made remarkable strides and there are considerable prospects for further growth,” she said.

Sonal brings more than 26 years of experience in financial leadership roles across various sectors. In her new role, she will drive the group’s financial strategy, while driving digitalisation and profitability.

“I look forward to contributing to the company’s success by leveraging strategic and financial initiatives and working collaboratively to develop and implement strategies that accelerate performance and enhance value for all stakeholders,” she explained.

Sonal joins Vedanta from Holcim Group, where she worked as the CFO for Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa operations.

Sonal holds a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from BIT, Sindri and a master’s degree in business administration from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies.
