At the Finance Meets HR Summit, leading executives take a look at how finance and HR are #StrongerTogether.

On 18 February, CFO South Africa, in collaboration with principal partner Workday, will be hosting the Finance Meets HR Summit at the Equinox Leadership & Innovation Centre in Sandton, Johannesburg.

At the summit, some of South Africa’s leading executives will discuss how the HR and finance professions can collide and collaborate when it comes to the business’s strategy, accounting, profit and people. 

Accenture Strategy, Africa MD Luis Rodriquez will deliver a keynote address in which he talks about how the future belongs to both HR and finance, followed by a group discussion challenging attendees to answer the questions “What do YOU think of HR?” and “How do YOU view finance?”

Workday country MD Zuko Mdwaba will take a look at how and why finance and HR are #StrongerTogether, followed by a panel discussion with Investec group FD and 2020 CFO Awards nominee Nishlan Samujh, Howden Africa CFO Marinella Vigouroux, Altron group executive of human capital Dolores Mashihi and Microsoft SA HR director Jasmin Pillay

The finance professionals on the panel will share their personal journeys of collaborating and colliding with the HR function of their businesses. The HR professionals on the panel will also get a chance to share their experience working with the finance function of their businesses. The panel will then look at some of the nominees’ responses to the questions posed earlier in the evening.

Tying it all together, Business Results Group CEO Nicola Tyler will share five reasons why finance and HR are #StrongerTogether. 

Finally, attendees will be treated to drinks and networking, where they get to share their takeaways from the evening’s thought-provoking discussions with other HR and finance leaders. 

The evening is supported by executive partner SAP Concur and associate partners Jaguar Land Rover, ClarkHouse Human Capital, Coupa and Transparent.
