Gerald Stoltz steps into the role as interim CEO at York Timber following the passing of Pieter van Zyl.

York Timber Holdings has announced the appointment of its CFO, Gerald Stoltz, to act in a dual and secondary role as the interim CEO of the company until a new CEO has been appointed.

Gerald’s appointment follows the passing of its CEO, Pieter van Zyl, on 19 July.

Gerald was appointed as the group’s CFO in June 2018 after serving as acting CFO since December 2017 when Pieter van Buuren resigned.

Prior to this, he served as the corporate financial manager of York Timber for four years. Before joining York Timber, he served as a senior audit manager at KPMG.

He is a qualified CA with a BCom degree in accounting from the University of Pretoria.
