Abigail Mukhuba was appointed as the financial director (FD) of Sanlam in October 2020. She joined Sanlam from leading mining company African Rainbow Minerals, where she held the position of FD for three years.
Abigail is also a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), the African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA), as well as the Institute of Directors South Africa (IoDSA).
She has held several other senior finance positions at KPMG, BMW SA and Exxaro Resources.
She is a qualified chartered accountant (SA), and holds a BCompt honours degree in accounting, a Masters degree in South African and International Taxation, as well as an MBA.
Abigail has been nominated for the 2024 CFO Awards for her work as the FD of Sanlam.
