Ahmed Domingo has been the CFO responsible for Absa Corporate Investment Banking’s (CIB) Africa region. Before this, he was the CFO of Absa Africa regions.
He has been with Absa since 2012, when he joined as the head of the technical advisory group at Absa CIB. He also served as regional head of accounting policy for two years and the head of financial control for Absa’s Regional Operations and Group Functions for four years.
Prior to joining Absa, Ahmed had a long career in London, where he worked at companies like UBS, BNP Paribas and EY.
He started his career as an assistant manager at PwC South Africa after graduating from the University of Cape Town with a BCom in accounting.
