After years of serving in various finance executive roles, Alistair Roman has become a portfolio CFO and FD, providing his financial services to organisations on an interim and consultancy basis.
Prior to this, he was the group FD and FD of Group IT and Transformation at Post Office, respectively. He has also been the global IT finance lead and global FD for BP, as well as the CFO for Profidata Group.
In addition to these senior finance roles, Alistair has been a lead partner of the CFO practice at DMSG, the finance and strategy business units director at Naspers, as well as a global director of finance and operations at Verisign.
His career started in South Africa though, where he was a trainee accountant at Deloitte, and later became an audit manager at Gobodo Inc.
Alistair has an executive MBA in business strategy from Henley Business School, has completed an audit specialist course from the National School of Accountancy, as well as a post graduate diploma in accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, in addition to his BCom accounting degree from the University of the Western Cape, and an ND in cost accounting from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
