Anbann Chetti has been the group CFO and an executive director at African Bank since August 2023. He joined the bank from Capitec, where he was the divisional executive of the Finance Management Retail division.
He has been in the banking industry his entire career, serving in various head of finance (CFO) roles within Nedbank’s Private Wealth South Africa and Corporate Banking divisions, as well as other senior finance roles within Standard Bank’s Global Markets South Africa, Interest Rate and Money Market and Acquisition Finance Group divisions.
Anbann’s career started at Absa as the head of specialised finance transaction management. This was at the same time that he completed his masters in international accountancy at the University of Johannesburg. He has a CTA and a BAcc degree from the University of Durban Westville, and has completed various executive development programs.
